BIOGRAPHY

Carlotta Carlotta Pesce with Gilbert&George, Londra, 1996

After graduating cum laude in Modern Literature with specialisation in art at Venice University Ca’ Foscari, and the formative experience alongside Professor Danilo Eccher, then Director of the Gallery of Modern Art in Bologna (presently MAMBO), I began working as an Art Advisor for private collectors as well as collaborating with important national and international art galleries. At the beginning of 2010 I founded Studio Carlotta Pesce offering contemporary art counsaltancy services.

While working as curatorial assistant to Prof. Danilo Eccher I organised prestigious exhibitions dedicated to some of the major artists of the international art scene. This experience gave me the opportunity to personally get to know, and visit the studios, of some of the most important contemporary artists: from Gilbert & George to Anselm Kiefer and Christo and Jeanne Claude, from Mario and Marisa Merz to Gilberto Zorio and Francesco Clemente, from Julian Schnabel to Christian Boltanski and Sean Scully, from Shirin Neshat to Francesco Vezzoli, as well as establishing personal relationships with some of the major protagonists of the international art system: art dealers, museum directors, curators, collectors and auction house personnel. I maintain a constant dialogue with these interlocutors which allows me to keep up-to-date with the developments in the art of our time. In 2011 I represented ART FORUM BERLIN, the International Contemporary Art Fair, in quality of VIP Relations Manager for Italy (till the fair was canceled)
Since then I organize personalized trips for collectors to discover the international art capitals, with exclusive visits to Fairs, Museums, Galleries and artists’ studios.
